Our actions are the practical manifestations of our thoughts.It’s easy to think you won’t achieve something and to keep telling yourself that. Especially if you lack confidence. However if you change your thought process you will feel positive and inspired to change the narrative.
When you think repeatedly that you are not going to succeed in a particular project, it is a negative affirmation. Affirmations, both negative and positive impact the neurological functioning of the brain. Make positive affirmations mantras. They have a force about them.
Positive affirmations should be forceful and determined such as ‘I can’, ‘I will’, or ‘I am going to’. As mentioned above, your brain is always adapting to your thought patterns and directs your organs to act accordingly.
Thoughts such as I ‘should’, ‘ought to’ or’ abstain from’ are normative.
Examples of negative affirmations are: ‘I can’t’ do this. It is ‘quite difficult’.
When you catch yourself saying ‘ I can’t’ say ‘ I can’ do this and think of ways to achieve a better outcome.
Positive thoughts will create a good outcome because you are training your mind to think in a positive way, which will impact on how you approach the project.
